Direct answer

A Creatopy alternative is the tool you move to when you paid for Creatopy, now The Brief, to make static social and display ads and found that a template editor still needs someone to design every set. AdsCreator is a Creatopy alternative for paid static ads: it turns a product URL into ad copy, on-brand images and every placement size for Meta, Google, TikTok and LinkedIn in one pass, on plans from $49 a month or $24 a month billed yearly.

Where Creatopy is strong

The Brief does far more than we do. It has a full Ad Studio and canvas with more than 5,000 templates, Photoshop and Figma import, animation, HTML5, MP4, GIF, PDF and AMP export, AI video, ad serving to more than 25 networks on Ultra and Team, product feeds, live data and an API on Enterprise. If you build animated HTML5 banners, serve ads through a third-party ad server or need SSO and DAM integrations, it is the stronger product.

Where AdsCreator is the alternative

AdsCreator does one job. Paste a product URL and it writes the headlines and primary text, generates on-brand images and sizes them for Meta Feed, Stories and Reels, Google display and Performance Max, TikTok and LinkedIn, with variants to A/B test. Nobody has to open an editor, pick a template or resize a layout by hand. Each plan states a number of ad generations, and one generation returns the copy, the images and every size together.

side by side

AdsCreator vs Creatopy, honestly.

Dimension AdsCreator Creatopy
Scope Paid ad creative only: static image ads and ad copy, generated from a product URL. A design and ad production platform: editor, templates, animation, video, HTML5, ad serving, feeds and an API on Enterprise. Much broader.
How you work Paste a URL, pick placements, get a finished set of ads with copy and images. Start from a template, a URL or a prompt, then edit in Ad Studio or Canvas and resize to the sizes you need.
Pricing model Flat plans with a stated number of ad generations: 12 on Starter, 14 on Growth, 34 on Studio, 72 on Agency. No credits since the rebrand. AI and export are included for normal use under a fair usage policy, with more capacity on Ultra and Team.
Entry price $49 a month, or $24 a month billed yearly. Pro at $39 a month billed monthly, or $29 a month billed annually ($348 a year), on October 13, 2026.
Teams Seats and roles on Agency, client folders from Studio. Team at $59 per seat a month, or $49 per seat billed annually, for 2 to 10 seats with roles and co-editing.
Publishing You export and launch in your own ad accounts. Publish to Meta and Google Ads and serve on 25+ networks on Ultra, Team and Enterprise, not on Pro.
Animation, HTML5 and video None. Static images and copy only. Yes: animated GIF, HTML5, MP4 and AI video. Clearly stronger if you need them.
Trial and refunds The studio on this site runs without signup, so you see the output before you pay. 7 day free trial with no card required. Its terms say fees paid are non-refundable and plans renew automatically at the then-current fee.

The monthly rows assume the same price for all 12 renewals, which the terms do not promise. AdsCreator figures are from our pricing page on the same day.

Why people look for a Creatopy alternative

Most people searching for one bought Creatopy as a faster way to make banners and found that the work still lands on a designer. A template editor saves layout time, but someone still picks the template, writes the copy, swaps the product photo and checks every size. For a solo marketer or a two person team running Meta and Google ads every week, that is the bottleneck. The rebrand to The Brief also moved the product toward a bigger platform with ad serving, feeds and AI agents, which suits enterprise and agency teams more than someone who needs ten fresh static ads by Friday. AdsCreator skips the editor: a product URL goes in and a finished set of copy and images in every placement size comes out.

Is Creatopy now The Brief?

Yes. Creatopy renamed itself The Brief in October 2025. The company says it is the same team and the same editor, and existing logins, projects and team setups carried over. The old creatopy.com pricing address now redirects to thebrief.ai/pricing, and the footer of that page reads The Brief, formerly Creatopy. So when you compare Creatopy alternatives today, you are comparing against The Brief plans, not the old Creatopy rate card that many review sites still print.

How much does Creatopy cost per month

Creatopy, now The Brief, costs $39 a month for Pro billed monthly or $29 a month billed annually, $99 or $79 a month for Ultra, and $59 or $49 per seat a month for Team, according to its pricing page on October 13, 2026. Enterprise is quoted by sales on a usage based contract. Pro is one seat with 5 brand kits and 250 GB of storage. Ultra and Team add publishing to Meta and Google Ads, ad serving on more than 25 networks and 100,000 served impressions a month.

What replaced the old Creatopy export credits

Creatopy used to meter work in credits. Its own December 2024 pricing article described Pro with 100 export credits and 100 AI credits a month, and Plus with 3 seats, 500 export credits and 300 AI credits. The current pricing page drops that model and says there are no credits and no counters: AI generation and exports are included for normal use under a fair usage policy, with more capacity on Ultra and Team. That is a real improvement for heavy designers. It also means the plan no longer tells you a number, so if you need a predictable monthly volume of finished ads, compare it with a plan that states one.

Creatopy cancellation, refunds and auto renewal

The Brief Terms of Use, updated October 1, 2025, say fees paid are non-refundable and that a plan renews automatically for the same term at the then-current fee unless you cancel before the term ends. A downgrade takes effect at the start of the next term with no refund for unused time. The Business Subscription Terms go further for business plans: you must cancel or give written notice at least 45 days before the end of the term to stop it renewing. If you are on an annual plan and thinking of switching, put that date in your calendar now.

Who should stay with The Brief and who should switch

Stay if you design by hand and like it, build animated or HTML5 banners for programmatic buys, serve ads through The Brief, run product feeds, or need SSO, DAM and an API. For a designer who wants unlimited designs, Pro at $29 a month billed annually is good value. Switch if your team has no designer, if most of your output is static Meta, Google, TikTok and LinkedIn ads, and if the slow part is writing copy and producing every size rather than laying out a template. That is the job AdsCreator does from a single URL.

How to switch from Creatopy without losing your banners

Download every design you want to keep before you cancel, in PNG or JPG for static ads and in HTML5 or MP4 for anything animated, because access to the editor ends with the subscription. Save your brand colors, fonts and logo files, since you will want them in a brand kit. Note the renewal date and, on a business plan, the 45 day notice window. Then paste your best selling product URL into AdsCreator, generate a set, and run it against your best Creatopy ad for a week before you commit.

questions

Creatopy alternative questions people ask.

What is the best Creatopy alternative for static ads?

AdsCreator is a Creatopy alternative built only for paid static ads. It turns a product URL into ad copy, on-brand images and every placement size for Meta, Google, TikTok and LinkedIn in one pass, on plans from $49 a month or $24 a month billed yearly. If you need animation, HTML5 or ad serving, The Brief or a creative management platform fits better.

Is Creatopy free?

No. Creatopy, now The Brief, has no free plan on its pricing page. It offers a 7 day free trial with no credit card required, after which Pro costs $39 a month billed monthly or $29 a month billed annually. The terms say fees paid are non-refundable, so decide during the trial rather than after the first charge.

What is Creatopy used for?

Creatopy is used to design, animate and resize display and social ads from templates, export them as images, GIF, HTML5 or video, and on higher plans publish and serve them across ad networks. Agencies and in-house teams use it to produce banner sets in many sizes. It is a design tool first, so someone still builds each ad in the editor.

Is Creatopy better than Canva for ads?

For ad production, usually yes. Creatopy, now The Brief, was built around banner sets, HTML5 export, ad serving and publishing to Meta and Google Ads, while Canva is a general design tool with ad templates. Canva is cheaper for occasional social graphics. Neither writes ad copy and generates every size from a product URL, which is the gap AdsCreator fills.

What are the main Creatopy competitors?

The main Creatopy competitors are Canva and Adobe Express for template design, Bannerflow, Celtra and Smartly for enterprise creative automation, and AI ad generators such as AdCreative.ai and AdsCreator for teams that want finished ads without designing. Bannerflow, Celtra and Smartly do not publish rate cards; The Brief and the AI generators do.

Does AdsCreator make HTML5 or animated banners like Creatopy?

No. AdsCreator makes static image ads and ad copy only. It does not export HTML5, GIF or video, and it does not serve ads. If animated banners for programmatic buys are a large part of your work, keep The Brief or another creative management platform for those and use AdsCreator for the static social and search sets.
