Tree Service Advertising: Tree Service Ads, Tree Removal Ads and a Tree Service Ad Maker

A tree service lead from Google Ads cost a typical company $85 to $110 in the first half of 2026, and the cheaper leads went to ads that named the job: $56 for debris cleanup, $80 for tree removal, $105 for trimming. Adscreator writes the copy and builds on-brand creative for each service in every placement size, in one pass.

Direct answer

Tree service advertising is the paid layer that keeps crews booked between referrals and storms: Google Search ads on "tree removal" and "tree service near me," Local Services Ads above the search results, and Facebook and Instagram ads shown to homeowners inside your service area. Adscreator is a tree service ad maker. Paste a service page URL or type the offer, and it writes the headline, primary text and call to action, generates on-brand images with your company colors and logo, and renders every Facebook, Instagram and Google display size with variants to test. It makes images and copy, not video.

The problem

A tree company sells seven different jobs under one name, and they do not cost the same to sell. In 99 Calls data from the Google Ads campaigns it manages, a debris cleanup lead cost $56 and a trimming lead $105. Across all tree service campaigns the share of clicks that turned into a call or a form fell from 25.3 percent in 2024 to 15.9 percent in 2026, even though the click itself got cheaper. One "full service tree care, free estimates" ad pays the blended price for every job. Separate creative for each service, in every size Facebook and Google ask for, is the part most owners never find the evening to build.

How Adscreator handles it

Adscreator turns one offer into the whole ad set. Paste the URL of your tree removal, stump grinding or land clearing page, or type the offer in a sentence, and it writes the ad copy in the tone you pick, builds images from your brand kit, and renders square, vertical, landscape and display sizes in one pass. Build a set for each service plus a storm response set you can switch on the morning after high winds, then export and upload to Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads.

The estimator moves every month, so treat each figure as a range to plan with, not a quote.

Which tree service jobs to advertise first, ranked by what their leads cost

Start with tree removal. In the 99 Calls data it produced close to 32 percent of all tree service leads at $80 each, and it converted 25.8 percent of clicks, the best rate of any job, even though its $20.51 click was the most expensive. A removal is also the job with the largest ticket, so it pays for the whole program. Second, run the broad "tree service near me" searches, which delivered more than 28 percent of leads at $94 and feed every other job once the estimator is on site. Third, keep debris cleanup ($56) and land and lot clearing ($65) as crew fillers. They are the cheapest leads in the trade and land clearing often comes from a builder or a landowner with a larger property. Pair stump grinding ($83) with removal instead of selling it alone, since most stump jobs start as an add-on. Run tree trimming and pruning ($105) last and with the most proof in the creative, because trimming is where homeowners collect three estimates before they pick. Palm tree trimming ($99) only matters in Florida, Arizona, Texas and Southern California, and there it deserves its own ad with a palm in the image, not an oak.

Clicks got 27 percent cheaper and leads got 16 percent more expensive, and that is a creative problem

99 Calls tracked the same trade for three years. The average tree service click fell from $20.69 in 2024 to $18.59 in 2025 and $15.11 through July 2026, a drop of about 27 percent. Over the same period the average cost per lead rose from $82 to $86 to $95, because the share of clicks that turned into a call or a form fell from 25.3 percent to 21.7 percent to 15.9 percent. Google is not charging more. Fewer of the people who click are calling. When the bid is not the problem, the ad and the page it sends people to are. A generic ad pulls in the homeowner who is comparing five companies, and a page that talks about "full service tree care" does not answer the question the searcher typed. 99 Calls gives the same advice from the campaign side: split tree removal, trimming, stump grinding, land clearing and storm cleanup into their own campaigns with their own ads and their own landing pages. That is five ad sets instead of one, each in four or five sizes, which is exactly the production load that stops small tree companies from doing it.

Local Services Ads for tree service: what a charged lead costs and what the screening asks for

On September 17, 2026 the 99 Calls estimator put the average tree services Local Services Ads charged lead at $48.94 and the median at $58.77, across 5 client campaigns over the last three months, with a 10th to 90th percentile range of $38.65 to $82.98. That is roughly half to two thirds of a typical search lead, which is why most tree companies run both. Google lists tree service as its own Local Services category, described as professionals who "plant, remove, and maintain trees, among other services." The US screening page asks for general liability and professional liability insurance, a state business license and an owner license where local law requires them, and a business check, owner check and business representative check for select users only. Since October 2025 the old Google Guaranteed and Google Screened labels have been folded into a single Google Verified badge. Local Services Ads use your business profile, photos and reviews rather than uploaded ad creative, so the images you make here are for search display, Performance Max, Facebook and Instagram, not for the Local Services unit itself.

What the move from Local Services Ads to Performance Max means for a tree company

Google is moving Local Services Ads into Google Ads as Performance Max campaigns with pay per lead goals. The first US wave it announced names plumbing, HVAC, electrical, appliance repair, house cleaning, lawn care, roofing, pest control and moving, and Google describes that list as "including," so it is not complete. Tree service is not named, but the later 2026 wave covers service area businesses without a physical storefront, which describes most tree companies. Three details matter for the switch. Verified status and the badge carry over, so you do not re-run screening. Previous Local Services performance reports stop being accessible after the migration, so export your lead history now. And Google says to allow up to two weeks for performance to settle. Performance Max campaigns in general draw on image and text assets across Google, so having removal, trimming and storm images already sized and approved is the practical preparation.

Storm response creative has to exist before the wind does

Tree service demand swings with weather more than most trades. The 99 Calls monthly table shows high cost markets at $225 per lead in January 2026 and $101 a month later, which is what a storm week does to an auction when every crew in the county bids at once. The companies that win those weeks have their storm ads built in advance: a tree on a roof or across a driveway, the crew and the equipment, the words "emergency tree removal," the towns you cover, your license and insurance, and a phone number that someone answers. Keep the offer honest. Many states have price gouging laws that switch on with an emergency declaration, and a homeowner looking at a tree through the living room ceiling remembers who treated them fairly. Build the set in quiet months, keep it paused, and switch it on the morning after the storm instead of designing it that night.

What a tree service ad has to show a homeowner, from a 1080 x 1350 feed post to a 300 x 250 banner

Tree work is dangerous and expensive, so the ad has to sell safety before price. Show your crew and your equipment on a real job: a bucket truck, a crane pick, a climber tied in. State that you are licensed and insured. Mention a certified arborist only if you have one on staff, because homeowners do check. Show the yard after cleanup, since the mess left behind is the complaint homeowners fear most. On Facebook and Instagram that fits a 1080 x 1350 feed image or a 1080 x 1080 square, with a 1080 x 1920 vertical for Stories and Reels. On Google display the same message has to survive a 300 x 250 rectangle, a 728 x 90 leaderboard and a 320 x 50 mobile banner, where only the job, the proof and the call to action fit. Responsive display and Performance Max want a 1200 x 628 landscape and a 1200 x 1200 square. Adscreator renders every one of those from the same offer, so the storm set and the trimming set stay consistent across placements.

questions

Tree service ad maker: the questions people ask.

How to advertise tree service?

Advertise a tree service with Google Search ads on high intent terms such as "tree removal," "stump grinding" and "tree service near me," add Local Services Ads so you appear above the results and pay per lead, and run Facebook and Instagram ads to homeowners in your service area. Give each job its own ad, because in 99 Calls data a debris cleanup lead cost $56 and a trimming lead $105.

How to promote tree service business?

Promote a tree service business by combining paid search, Local Services Ads, a complete Google Business Profile with real job photos, and a steady flow of reviews. Then give every paid channel creative that names the specific job and shows your crew and equipment. Separate ads for removal, trimming, stump grinding and storm cleanup convert better than one generic offer.

What is the best advertising for tree service?

For most tree companies the best advertising is Google Search for homeowners ready to book, Local Services Ads for cheaper charged leads (a $58.77 median on the 99 Calls estimator in September 2026), and Facebook and Instagram for seasonal trimming and storm cleanup in your area. Search and Local Services capture demand. Social ads create it before the homeowner starts searching.

Do tree service Facebook ads work?

Tree service Facebook ads work best for planned jobs such as seasonal trimming, stump grinding and lot clearing, where you can reach homeowners in your service area before they search. They work less well for emergency removal, which is a search moment. Use a real photo of your crew on a job, name the service and the towns you cover, and send clicks to a page about that one job.

How much does tree service advertising software cost?

Adscreator pricing starts at $39 per month on Starter, or $29 per month billed yearly. There is no free plan and no credits to ration, so building separate ad sets for removal, trimming, stump grinding, land clearing and storm response costs the same as building one. Every plan exports all Facebook, Instagram and Google display sizes.
