Window Tint Advertising: Window Tint Ads, Window Film Advertising and a Tint Shop Ad Maker
Nobody publishes a measured Google Ads sample for window tinting. The closest measured vehicle trade, mobile auto detailing, paid $4.03 a click and $26 a lead in 2026, and agency pages quote tint at $2 to $10 a click with no sample behind it. Either way the traffic is cheap, so the ad is the lever. AdsCreator writes the copy and builds on-brand creative for each tint job in every placement size, in one pass.

Direct answer
Window tint advertising is the paid layer that fills a tint shop's bays between referrals and dealer work: Google Search ads on "window tint near me" and "ceramic tint," Facebook and Instagram ads that show the same car before and after to drivers in the zip codes around the shop, and separate campaigns for residential and commercial window film, which are sold to different buyers entirely. AdsCreator is a window tint ad maker. Paste a service page URL or type the offer, and it writes the ad copy, builds images from your brand kit, and renders every Facebook, Instagram and Google size, so each job gets its own ad instead of one "tint special" trying to sell everything.
The problem
A tint shop sells at least five different jobs under one sign, and they do not share a buyer. A car owner comparing standard carbon tint wants a price and a shade chart. A ceramic or infrared film buyer is paying for heat rejection and wants proof. A windshield strip or clear windshield film is a comfort sale. A homeowner looking at residential film cares about glare and faded floors, and a facilities manager buying commercial film is working a budget line with an energy argument attached. One generic ad pays the blended price for all five and converts none of them well. The rules add friction too. Every state sets its own visible light limit for each window (Florida, for example, requires front side windows to let through at least 28 percent of visible light), so a "go as dark as you want" ad invites a ticket for your customer and a complaint for you.
How AdsCreator handles it
AdsCreator turns one offer into the whole ad set. Paste the URL of your ceramic tint, windshield, residential or commercial film page, or type the offer in a sentence, and it writes the ad copy in the tone you pick, builds images from your brand kit, and renders square, vertical, landscape and display sizes in one pass. Build a set for each job, a summer heat set you can switch on when the first hot week arrives, and a commercial set written for property managers rather than drivers. Generate variations of the headline and the image, run them against each other, and keep the one that books the most installs.
specs
What window tint advertising costs per click and per lead, and which numbers are measured.
Window tinting has no public Google Ads sample of its own. Agency pages quote ranges without a sample, a date or a definition of a lead, while the nearest measured numbers come from adjacent trades that share the buyer. These are the figures worth planning with, read on September 22, 2026, with the sample behind each one, so you can see which are measurements and which are claims.
| Figure and source | Cost per click | Cost per lead | Sample |
|---|---|---|---|
| Window tinting, agency quoted range (Symphony Advertising) | $2 to $10 | $15 to $50 | No sample, date or lead definition given |
| Mobile auto detailing, closest measured vehicle trade (99 Calls) | $4.03 average, $2.40 to $5.97 | $26 median, $17 to $31 monthly | 4,066 clicks; 3 to 5 advertisers a month |
| Auto repair, service and parts (LocaliQ) | $4.35 average | $29.96 average | 2,001 US search campaigns, Oct 2024 to Sep 2025 |
| Window installation, the building glass search (99 Calls) | $18.01 average, $8.61 to $43.49 | Not published | 3,810 clicks |
| All 27 home service industries (99 Calls) | Not published | $13 to $637 median by industry | 361 accounts, 34,064 leads |

Which tint jobs deserve their own ad, and who is buying each one
Split the campaign by job before you split it by platform. Standard dyed or carbon tint is the price sale: the buyer is comparing three shops and wants the price for their car, the shades you carry and how long the install takes, so the ad should carry all three. Ceramic and infrared film is the upgrade sale, and the ad has to show why it costs more, which means a heat rejection figure from the manufacturer's spec sheet and a clear line about the warranty. Windshield work, whether a top strip or a clear heat rejecting film, is a comfort sale that sells best in the first hot weeks of the year. Residential film sells to homeowners fighting glare, heat in one west facing room or faded floors, and it is a quote and a home visit, not a same day booking. Commercial and storefront film sells to property managers and business owners, often with a second decision maker, and the ad should lead with glare, comfort complaints and the energy argument rather than looks. Five buyers, five ads. A shop that runs one "tint special" to all of them pays the blended click price and converts the least interested of the five.
Put the legal limit in the ad, because every state draws the line differently
Window tint is one of the few local trades where the product itself is regulated per window and per state, and customers know it. Each state sets how much visible light must pass through the front side windows, the rear side windows and the rear window, and several also cap how reflective the film may be. Florida's statute, for example, allows film on the front side windows only if the glass still lets through at least 28 percent of visible light and reflects no more than 25 percent. Other states are stricter on the front and looser on the rear. That has two consequences for your creative. First, an ad that promises "any shade" or shows a limo dark front window attracts the buyer you least want: the one who comes back after a ticket. Second, naming the rule is a selling point. "Legal to the Florida front window limit" or "we meter every install" tells a careful buyer that you know the law, which a cheaper shop down the road may not. Build a legal limit version of your standard tint ad for each state you serve, and keep the numbers on your own service page current, because the ad points there.
Claims a tint ad can make, and the ones that need a spec sheet behind them
Tint buyers compare numbers, so tint ads tend to fill up with them: 99 percent UV rejection, heat rejection percentages, lifetime warranties. Each of those is an objective claim, and under the Federal Trade Commission's advertising substantiation policy an advertiser needs a reasonable basis for an objective claim before the ad runs. In practice that means taking the figure from the manufacturer's published spec sheet for the exact film you install, not from a competitor's ad, and quoting it for that film only. The Skin Cancer Foundation's Seal of Recommendation shows how this works. The foundation grants it to window film only when the maker provides data showing the product blocks 99 percent or more of UVA and UVB radiation, and it lists recognized products on its own site. If your film carries the seal, the seal is a stronger line than your own adjective. If it does not, do not imply it. Heat rejection figures deserve the same care, because total solar energy rejected and infrared rejection are different measurements, and buyers who have shopped around notice when a shop quotes the larger one as if it were the other.
Commercial window film is a business to business sale and needs its own creative
A property manager does not buy film the way a driver does. The decision usually follows a comfort complaint, glare on screens, or a push to cut cooling costs, and it goes through a quote, a sample and often a second approver. The creative should speak to that process: name the building types you work on, such as offices, retail storefronts, schools and medical offices, show a finished floor from the inside, and offer a site survey rather than a price. Be careful with the energy argument. The US Department of Energy notes that window films block solar heat gain and cut glare and UV exposure, but that they suit climates with long cooling seasons best, because they also block the sun's heat in winter. A commercial ad in Phoenix or Houston can lean on cooling. The same ad in Minneapolis should lead with glare and comfort. On platforms, commercial film is a search and LinkedIn sale more than a Facebook one, because the buyer is at work when the problem comes up.
Local Services Ads for tint shops: Google has no tint category, so search and Meta carry the load
Google's United States screening page for Local Services Ads lists an Auto Care group made up of towing, tire shop (available in California and Florida only), car wash, auto repair shop and auto body shop. Window tinting is not in it, and no category on the page mentions tint or window film. Car wash is described as a professional who cleans car interiors and exteriors, which a tint shop is not. On the building side, window repair is described as professionals who install and repair windows and may service skylights, doors and other glass, which a residential film installer may or may not fit, and Google decides that at screening. So plan on Google Search and Meta as the main paid channels, not on the pay per lead badge that plumbers and roofers lean on. Search catches the buyer who already knows they want tint. Facebook and Instagram reach car owners in your radius before they search, which matters more in a trade where the result is visible from the street and a good before and after sells itself. The move of Local Services Ads into Performance Max that is reshaping other trades changes nothing here, because there was never a tint category to move.
What a window tint ad has to show, from a 1080 x 1350 feed post to a 300 x 250 banner
Tint is sold on a look, so the strongest single image is the same car, from the same angle, before and after, in the shade the buyer is most likely to choose. A shade strip across one image, from 70 percent down to 5 percent on the same window, answers the question every buyer asks and is worth more than any headline. For ceramic film the photo cannot show heat, so the copy has to: quote the spec sheet figure for the film you install and name the brand if it is one buyers search for. For residential and commercial film, show the room, not the window: a living room without glare on the television, an office floor with the blinds open at 3 p.m. Build each of these in 1080 x 1350 for the feed, 1080 x 1920 for Stories and Reels, 1200 x 628 for landscape placements, and 300 x 250, 728 x 90 and 160 x 600 for display. That is five jobs in six sizes, thirty files before a single test variant, which is the production load AdsCreator takes off the shop owner.

questions
Window tint ad maker: the questions people ask.
How to advertise a window tint business?
Advertise a window tint business with Google Search ads on "window tint near me," "ceramic tint" and "car window tinting," and Facebook and Instagram ads showing the same car before and after to drivers within reach of the shop. Give standard tint, ceramic, windshield, residential and commercial film their own ads, name your state's legal limit, and quote heat and UV figures only from the spec sheet of the film you install.
What is the best advertising for a window tint shop?
Google Search is the best channel for tint buyers who are ready to book, because they already know what they want and are comparing shops on price, shade and availability. Facebook and Instagram are best for reaching car owners before they search, since a tinted car sells on a visible result. Local Services Ads are not an option, because Google has no window tint category in the United States.
Do Facebook ads work for window tinting?
Facebook ads work for window tinting when they show a visible result and a clear offer to people within driving distance: a before and after of the same car, a shade chart on one window, or a ceramic offer timed to the first hot week. They work less well for commercial film, which is a considered business purchase that usually starts with a search or a referral rather than a feed scroll.
How much should a tint shop spend on advertising?
Start from the lead price, not a retainer. No public measured sample exists for tint, but the closest measured vehicle trade, mobile auto detailing, paid a $26 median lead on a $4.03 click in 2026. At a similar price, 20 leads a month is roughly $500 to $600 in search spend. Test one job at a time, judge it on cost per booked install, and move budget to the job that books.
How much does window tint advertising software cost?
AdsCreator pricing starts at $39 per month on Starter, or $29 per month billed yearly. There is no free plan and no credits to ration, so building separate ad sets for standard tint, ceramic, windshield, residential and commercial film costs the same as building one. Every plan exports all Facebook, Instagram and Google display sizes, and your media budget is billed by Google and Meta separately.

Budget is the first question most shop owners ask, and the honest answer starts with the fact that nobody has measured tint on its own. How much Google Ads cost for window tinting lays out the closest measured benchmarks, what the agency ranges leave out, and how to size a first budget from your own click price and close rate.
Tint shares a customer, and often a building, with the rest of the vehicle appearance trades. The auto detailing advertising page covers ceramic coating and paint care creative, and auto dealer ad builder software covers the dealer side, where many tint shops pick up add on work.
For the search side, Google Ads for contractors covers the responsive search and display asset requirements, and lead generation ads covers instant forms that collect the vehicle, the windows and the shade wanted without a landing page.
