Pool Service Advertising: Pool Cleaning Advertising, Pool Service Ads and a Pool Company Ad Maker
A pool service lead from Google Ads cost a typical company $240 in 2026, one of the five most expensive leads in home services, and the click behind it averages $27.26. At that price a generic "pool cleaning, free quote" ad is the most expensive thing on your route. Adscreator writes the copy and builds on-brand creative for each pool service offer in every placement size, in one pass.

Direct answer
Pool service advertising is the paid layer that fills a route before the season and replaces the accounts you lose each fall: Google Search ads on "pool service near me" and "pool cleaning service," Local Services Ads above the search results, and Facebook and Instagram ads shown to pool owners inside the neighborhoods you already drive. Adscreator is a pool company ad maker. Paste a service page URL or type the offer, and it writes the headline, primary text and call to action, generates on-brand images with your company colors and logo, and renders every Facebook, Instagram and Google display size with variants to test. It makes images and copy, not video, and it never connects to your ad accounts.
The problem
Pool service is an expensive trade to buy customers in. In 99 Calls data from 361 home service Google Ads accounts, the median pool service lead cost $240 from January to August 2026, fifth highest of 27 industries and above plumbing ($150) and electrical ($168). The median swung from $330 in February to $142 in June, and the most expensive tenth of advertisers paid around $342 while the most efficient tenth paid around $119, a 2.9 times spread inside the same auction. That spread is not luck. A pool company sells a weekly cleaning route, green pool cleanups, openings and closings, and pump, filter and heater repair, and each of those is a different buyer on a different day. A single "reliable pool service" ad pays the blended price for all of them. Separate creative for each offer, sized for Facebook, Instagram and Google, is the part a route owner rarely has an evening left to build.
How Adscreator handles it
Adscreator turns one offer into the whole ad set. Paste the URL of your weekly service, green pool or equipment repair page, or type the offer in a sentence, and it writes the ad copy in the tone you pick, builds images from your brand kit, and renders square, vertical, landscape and display sizes in one pass. Build a set for weekly service, a green to clean set, a spring opening set and an equipment repair set, keep them ready, and switch each one on in the month its demand peaks. Pricing is flat with no credits, so four offers cost the same to produce as one. Export the files and upload them to Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads yourself.

What pool service advertising costs per click and per lead, by month and channel.
Pool service is one of the few home service trades with public Google Ads data on both the click and the lead. 99 Calls, a firm that manages Google Ads and Local Services Ads for service companies, publishes cost per lead by industry from 361 accounts it manages and average cost per click by industry, and lists the lead price range it sees for pool service over the last 12 months. These are the figures worth budgeting with, read on September 18, 2026.

Three to seven advertisers a month is a thin base, so plan with the range, not the single figure. Media spend is billed by Google and Meta directly and is separate from creative production.
Which pool service offers to advertise first, and in which month
Pool demand runs on a calendar, and the lead price follows it. In the 99 Calls data the median pool service lead cost $328 in January and $330 in February, when few companies bid and the searchers are owners planning ahead, then fell to $214 in March, $202 in May and $142 in June, when pools are open and problems are visible. Build the offers in that order. Weekly service comes first all year, because it is the account that pays back the lead: a route customer bills every month, so it is the only offer worth bidding a $240 lead on in February. Green to clean cleanups come second, from late spring through August, because an owner staring at a green pool the week of a party calls fast and rarely shops around, and a cleanup is the easiest job to convert into a weekly account. Pool openings come third in the North and the Midwest, where the window is short and the offer has to be live before the first warm weekend. Equipment repair (pumps, filters, heaters, salt cells) is the fourth set, sold to owners who already clean their own pool. Closings and winterization are the fall set in cold states. Four or five offers, each in five sizes, is 20 to 25 files before a single test variant, which is the production load that keeps most route owners on one generic ad.
A $240 lead only makes sense if the ad sells the route, not the visit
A one time pool cleaning at a $240 lead cost loses money for almost every company. A weekly route account is different, because it bills every month for as long as the customer stays. The math is simple enough to run on your own numbers: divide the lead cost by your close rate to get the cost of a new account, then divide that by your monthly margin per pool to get the months to pay it back. At a $240 lead and one account closed for every three leads, a new customer costs about $720 in ad spend. On a $150 a month route price with half kept as margin, that is paid back in under ten months, and every month after is profit. So the creative has to sell the relationship: the same technician every week, a photo or checklist after each visit, chemistry logged, equipment checked, one monthly price. Ads that lead with a cheap first cleaning pull in the owner who wants one visit, which is exactly the lead that never pays back. If your price list does carry a first visit offer, make it the door to a weekly plan in the copy, not the whole promise.
Pool service clicks are the third most expensive in home services, so conversion is the lever
99 Calls puts the 2026 average pool service click at $27.26 on 6,163 clicks, with campaign averages from $13.58 to $32.22. Only restoration ($52.30) and HVAC ($29.52) cost more per click among the 27 industries in that report, and pool service sits above plumbing ($26.19), roofing ($25.70) and electrical ($24.64). Set that click beside the $240 median lead and the implied rate is roughly one lead for every nine clicks. That is our arithmetic across two reports from the same firm, not a published figure, but it shows where the money goes: most of the budget buys clicks from people who look and leave. You cannot bid your way out of a $27 click. You can raise the share of clicks that call, and that is set by how closely the ad matches the search and what the ad and landing page show. A search for "green pool cleanup" that lands on a before and after of a green pool and a price for the cleanup converts. The same search landing on a smiling technician and the words "full service pool care" does not. 99 Calls makes the same point from the campaign side when it says high CPC trades win on the business behind the click, not the bid.
Local Services Ads for pool service: what Google screens and why pool cleaners get the stricter check
Google splits pools into two Local Services categories on its US screening page. Pool cleaners, which Google describes as providers of "pool cleaning services, upkeep, and hygiene maintenance," need a business background check and an owner background check, general liability and professional liability insurance, and a state business license and owner license where local law requires them. Unlike most trades, the pool cleaner background checks are not limited to select users. Pool contractors, for "pool remodeling, repairs, and additional installation services," get the business, owner and representative checks for select users only, with the same insurance and license list. Google says screening takes three to four weeks on average, so start it before the season, not in May. Since October 2025 the Google Guaranteed and Google Screened labels have been folded into one Google Verified badge. Local Services Ads build the listing from your business profile, photos and reviews rather than uploaded ad creative, so the images you make here are for search display, Performance Max, Facebook and Instagram. 99 Calls no longer publishes a pool service charged lead price on its Local Services estimator, and on its own pool lead page Local Services supplied just 1 percent of the pool leads it delivered in the last 12 months, against 63 percent from Google Ads.
What the move from Local Services Ads to Performance Max means for a pool company
Google is moving Local Services Ads into Google Ads as Performance Max campaigns with pay per lead goals. The first US phase it announced for August 2026 names plumbing, HVAC, electrical, appliance repair, house cleaning, lawn care, roofing, pest control and moving, introduced with the word "including," so treat the list as examples. Pool service is not named. The late 2026 phase covers service area businesses without a physical storefront, which describes most pool routes, and 2027 covers every remaining category. Google says pay per lead campaigns are keywordless, run on Search and Maps only, and take their information from your Google Business Profile, so a stale profile becomes a stale ad. The account administrator gets an email 14 days before the switch and a reminder seven days later, verified status carries over, and Google says to allow up to two weeks for results to settle. The practical preparation is the same as for any Performance Max campaign: current photos on the profile, and image and text assets already built for each offer so the first weeks are not spent designing.
What a pool service ad has to show an owner, from a 1080 x 1350 feed post to a 300 x 250 banner
Pool owners buy on water they can see. The strongest single image in this trade is a before and after of the same pool from the same spot: green on the left, clear on the right. For weekly service, show the proof owners care about: the same technician, a service report or photo sent after each visit, test results logged, a skimmer basket emptied. Name the neighborhoods or cities you already route through, because owners want a company that is on their street every week anyway. On Facebook and Instagram that fits a 1080 x 1350 feed image or a 1080 x 1080 square, with a 1080 x 1920 vertical for Stories and Reels. On Google display the message has to survive a 300 x 250 rectangle, a 728 x 90 leaderboard and a 320 x 50 mobile banner, where only the offer, the proof and the call to action fit. Responsive display and Performance Max want a 1200 x 628 landscape and a 1200 x 1200 square. Use your own photos with the owner's permission, keep house numbers and faces out of frame, and never show a result you did not produce. Adscreator renders every one of those sizes from the same offer.

questions
Pool service ad maker: the questions people ask.
How to advertise a pool service business?
Advertise a pool service business with Google Search ads on "pool service near me," "pool cleaning service" and "green pool cleanup," Local Services Ads so your Google Verified badge and reviews sit above the results, and Facebook and Instagram ads to pool owners in the neighborhoods you already route through. Give weekly service, green pool cleanups, openings and equipment repair their own ads, because each is a different buyer in a different month.
What is the best advertising platform for pool service?
Google Search is the best platform for pool service leads that book now, and in 99 Calls data it supplied 63 percent of the pool leads that firm delivered in the last 12 months. Facebook and Instagram are the best place to reach owners before they search, especially for spring openings and weekly plans, and Local Services Ads add the Google Verified badge. Most profitable pool companies run search and social together.
How much should a pool company spend on advertising?
Start from the lead price. The median pool service Google Ads lead cost $240 in 2026 in 99 Calls data, so ten leads a month is about $2,400 in search spend. At one weekly account for every three leads, that buys three or four route customers a month. Spend more in March to June, when leads are cheaper, and judge the budget on months to pay back a new account, not on cost per lead alone.
Do Facebook ads work for pool service?
Facebook ads work for pool service when they sell a plan or a visible result to owners in your service area: a weekly service price, a spring opening date, or a green to clear before and after. They work less well for an emergency like a failed pump, which is a search moment. Target the zip codes you already drive, use your own photos, and retarget owners who visited your pricing page.
How much does pool service advertising software cost?
Adscreator pricing starts at $39 per month on Starter, or $29 per month billed yearly. There is no free plan and no credits to ration, so building separate ad sets for weekly service, green pool cleanups, openings, closings and equipment repair costs the same as building one. Every plan exports all Facebook, Instagram and Google display sizes, and your media budget is billed by Google and Meta separately.

Budget is the first question most pool owners ask, and the public data is sharper than the agency blogs suggest. How much Google Ads cost for pool service shows the month by month lead cost for 2026, the click price against 26 other trades, and how many months of route revenue it takes to pay back one lead.
Pool owners usually hire a lawn, tree or pest company in the same season, and many pool companies partner with one of them. The tree service ad maker covers trimming and removal creative, and creative pest control ads covers the recurring plan creative that trade sells on the same streets, with the same monthly billing logic as a pool route.
For the search side, Google Ads for contractors covers the responsive search and display asset requirements, and lead generation ads covers instant forms that collect the address, the pool type and the service wanted without a landing page. What lead generation ads cost compares Meta and Google lead prices across industries.
