Storyteq pricing is not published. Every package on Storyteq's pricing page, Enterprise and Professional as well as the standalone DAM, Review, CA and Commerce Engine products, reads "Price on Application". The page does describe the structure: a one-off implementation charge plus an annual recurring license fee, priced by broad user tiers rather than per user. Its standard terms set a one year first term that renews for another year unless you give notice at least 30 days before it ends. Software Advice and Capterra list a starting price of 1,999 euros a month, which is a directory figure, not a Storyteq quote.
This is for a US brand marketing lead, retail marketing director or agency owner who has Storyteq on a shortlist, has a proposal on the desk, or is coming up to a renewal and wants to know what is actually being paid for. Everything below comes from Storyteq's pricing page, its FAQ and its Software Terms of Service, all read on October 15, 2026, plus one clearly labeled directory listing. If most of what you make is static social and search ads, the last sections compare it with a Storyteq alternative with listed prices.
Does Storyteq publish its pricing?
Storyteq has a pricing page, but it shows no prices. It lists two packages and four standalone products, and each one has a "Get a Quote" button under the words "Price on Application". The page's own FAQ asks "Why doesn't Storyteq show fixed pricing?" and answers that every marketing team has different markets, volumes, workflows and integrations, so Storyteq tailors pricing to what you need instead of selling a fixed package.
That is normal for enterprise content and creative platforms. Bannerflow, Celtra, Smartly and Cape.io do not publish rate cards either; we broke down what the Bannerflow terms say in Bannerflow pricing and what a Bannerflow contract costs. Creatopy, now The Brief, is the one platform in this group that lists its prices.
Storyteq packages and what each one includes
| Package | Who Storyteq says it is for | What the page lists |
|---|---|---|
| Enterprise | Complex, multi-market organizations with bespoke workflows | Strategy and planning, custom briefs and multi-stage workflows, reviews and approvals, creative automation, the Commerce Engine, advanced DAM with brand portals, distribution, analytics, Halo Intelligence and Agent Console AI |
| Professional | Teams that need to launch quickly with a preconfigured setup | Preconfigured briefs and workflows, reviews and approvals, creative automation, DAM with AI search, distribution and analytics. Strategy and planning, Halo Intelligence and Agent Console AI are marked "Not included" |
| Standalone products | Buyers who need one module, or want to extend a package | Storyteq DAM, Storyteq Review (approvals), Storyteq CA (creative automation) and Storyteq Commerce Engine (retail promotions) |
Every row is price on application. The practical point is that the Professional package is the cheaper route Storyteq offers, and it gives up the strategy layer and the AI features rather than the creative automation itself.
How Storyteq charges: implementation, license and user tiers
Under "Why choose Storyteq", the pricing page lists what it calls transparent pricing: "Simple, one-off implementation charge and an annual recurring license fee." It adds that Storyteq does not charge per user but by broad user tiers, so one license can give logins to your own teams, your agencies and your partners. The terms confirm that you may hand accounts to employees, freelancers, affiliates and your own clients, as long as each login belongs to one person.
So a Storyteq quote has two numbers to compare: the one-time implementation charge, which pays for configuring workflows, templates, integrations and brand environments, and the yearly license, which depends on the modules you pick and the user tier you land in. Templates themselves are a cost line to ask about. Storyteq says its team builds templates and handles adaptations as part of its service model, so confirm how many templates the implementation charge includes and what new ones cost later.
How much does Storyteq cost per year?
There is no official figure. The only number in circulation comes from directory listings: Software Advice shows Storyteq "Starting at" 1,999 euros a month, and Capterra shows the same 1,999 euro starting price with no free trial. At that rate the license alone would be close to 24,000 euros a year before implementation, roughly $26,000 to $28,000 depending on the exchange rate. Storyteq has not confirmed the figure on its own site, so treat it as a floor to test in the first call, not a budget line.
Directories also disagree on fees. GetApp describes a one-time setup fee plus an annual license, which matches Storyteq's own page, while TrustRadius lists no setup fee. Storyteq's pricing page settles it: there is an implementation charge.
Storyteq contract term, renewal and notice period
This is the part of Storyteq pricing that decides what you really commit to, and it sits in the Software Terms of Service on Storyteq's documentation site, dated August 30, 2023.
- One year first term. Unless your agreement says otherwise, the first term is 12 months from the start of your license, which the terms define as the moment you actually start using the platform.
- Payment schedule does not shorten it. The terms say this applies "regardless of the payment terms", so paying monthly or quarterly still means a one year contract.
- Renews a year at a time. The agreement renews automatically for further one year terms unless either side gives notice of cancellation at least 30 days before the term or renewal ends.
- Cancelling a signed deal early can cost the full fee. If you cancel during or before delivery without a clear shortcoming on Storyteq's side, it keeps the right to charge the full agreed fees.
- Yearly price adjustment. The license price may be adjusted once a year, at the start of the calendar year or at renewal, in line with the Service Producer Price Index.
- Dutch law and courts. The terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, with disputes heard in Dutch courts.
- Your logo can appear on its customer list. The publicity clause lets Storyteq show your company logo as a licensee.
Put together: if your license starts on March 1 and nobody sends notice by January 30, the contract renews to the following February, possibly at an index-adjusted price. Terms agreed with Storyteq's commercial and legal team take precedence over the standard ones, so the first thing to check in a proposal is which of these it changes.
Thirty days is a short window inside a large organization, and the renewal date is set by first use rather than signature, which makes it easy to lose. Before you commit to an implementation project at all, it is worth running a digital maturity assessment of your marketing operations, because a content platform only pays back if local teams actually change how they work. Storyteq's own pitch depends on local marketers self-serving templates; if that adoption is unlikely, the license buys very little.
How long does Storyteq implementation take?
Storyteq gives two different answers on its own site. The pricing page FAQ says implementation "can start from as little as 2 weeks". The general FAQ says setup is "often starting from just 8 weeks". Plan on the longer figure for anything with integrations, several markets or video templates, and remember the one year term starts when you begin using the platform, so a slow rollout does not eat into the contract.
Does Storyteq have a free trial?
No. Storyteq's FAQ says plainly that it does not offer a free trial and offers demos instead. The route is a demo booked through its website, a tailored quote, then implementation.
Questions to ask before you sign a Storyteq proposal
- What is the implementation charge, and what does it build? Get the number of templates, integrations and brand environments in writing.
- Which user tier are we in, and what moves us up? Adding agencies, markets or partners is where a tiered license usually grows.
- Professional or Enterprise? If you do not need the strategy layer, Halo Intelligence or Agent Console AI, the Professional package may cover the work.
- Can the renewal notice be longer and the index clause capped? Ask for 60 or 90 days notice and a fixed ceiling on the yearly adjustment.
- When exactly does the license start? Get the start date fixed in the agreement rather than tied to first use.
- Can the publicity clause be removed? Many brands strike logo use from vendor contracts.
Is Storyteq worth the price?
It is worth it for the buyer Storyteq describes: a mid-sized or enterprise marketing team running campaigns across many markets and channels. If you localize video, print and point of sale into dozens of languages, need brand-locked templates for local teams and run approvals with several agencies, one platform that combines DAM, briefs and adaptation can replace a lot of agency hours. Its Heineken case study claims a 40 percent cut in content production costs while scaling to 160 countries.
It is poor value when most of the output is static ads for Meta, Google, TikTok and LinkedIn for one market. Then you are paying an implementation charge and a year of license for work a much smaller tool does.
Storyteq pricing next to tools with listed prices
| Tool | Published price | Commitment | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Storyteq | None, price on application (directories list from 1,999 euros a month) | One year, renews yearly unless 30 days notice | DAM, briefs and approvals, creative automation for video, print and digital, distribution, analytics |
| Bannerflow | None, custom quote | One year, 3 months written notice, then 6 months | HTML5, video and static studio, feeds, publishing and ad serving integrations |
| AdsCreator Starter | $24 a month billed yearly, $49 monthly | Monthly or yearly, renews until you cancel | 12 ad generations a month, each with copy, on-brand images and every placement size |
| AdsCreator Agency | $249 a month billed yearly, $499 monthly | Monthly or yearly, renews until you cancel | 72 ad generations a month, unlimited brand kits, seats and roles |
The tools do different jobs. AdsCreator turns a product URL into ad copy, on-brand images and every size for Meta, Google, TikTok and LinkedIn. It makes static images and copy only, with no video, print files, DAM or approval workflow, so it does not replace Storyteq for multi-market localization. For teams whose work is mostly static paid social, it replaces the part of the contract they actually use.
The short version
Storyteq pricing is a quote built from a one-off implementation charge and an annual license priced by user tier. The first term is a year from first use, it renews a year at a time unless you give 30 days notice, and the price can move with an index at each renewal. The only public number, from Software Advice and Capterra, is a starting price of 1,999 euros a month. If your output is mostly static ads, paste a product URL into the studio at the top of this page, compare the set with your current creative, then read the full Storyteq alternatives comparison or see AdsCreator pricing.
